Herbert Lepor, M.D.

Professor of Pharmacology

Dr. Lepor attended the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed his urologic training at the Brady Urological Institute at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He then served on the Urology faculties of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine, and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Lepor assumed the Chairmanship of the New York University Medical Center Department of Urology in December of 1993. Dr. Lepor is recognized internationally for his contributions to the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the prostate.

Victor Nitti, M.D.

Dr. Nitti attended medical school at UMDNJ and completed his residency at SUNY Brooklyn. He completed a fellowship in Urodynamics and Female Urology at UCLA in 1992 and has served on the faculty at UCLA and SUNY Brooklyn. Dr. Nitti joined the NYU Urology faculty in 1995 and is internationally recognized for his contributions related to treatment of female urology, urodynamics and voiding dysfunction.

Joseph Alukal, M.D.

Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology
Director of Reproductive Health and Benign Diseases of the Prostate

Dr. Alukal received his medical education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his residency at Boston University. He joined the NYU faculty in 2008 after completing a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

William C. Huang, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Urology
Specialty: Urologic Oncology

Dr. Huang graduated from Jefferson Medical College and completed his urology training at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center. Following an oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, he joined the faculty of NYU in 2007.

Christopher Kelly, M.D.

Assistant Professor of Urology
Specialty: Neurourology and Female Urology

Dr. Kelly completed his medical education at Columbia University and urology training at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed a fellowship in Urodynamics and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and joined the NYU faculty in 2001.

Andrew McCullough, M.D.

Clinical Associate Professor of Urology

Dr. McCullough completed his medical education at the University of Maryland and his urology training at the Brady Urological Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has served on the Urology faculties of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Yale University School of Medicine and joined the NYU faculty in 1994.

Mani Menon, M.D.

Dr. Menon completed his medical education at JIPMER Pondicherry and his urology training at the Brady Urological Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He served as Chairman of Urology at the University of Massachusetts before joining Henry Ford Health System in 1997. Now Chairman of the Department of Urology at Henry Ford, he also serves on the faculty at NYU. Dr. Menon is recognized worldwide for his pioneering work in robotic surgery.

Nirit Rosenblum, M.D.

Dr. Rosenblum completed her medical education and residency at New York University. After a fellowship in Urodynamics and Female Urology at UCLA, she joined the NYU faculty in 2002.

Ojas Shah, M.D.

Dr. Shah obtained his medical education at Northwestern University and completed his urology training at New York University. He completed a fellowship in Endourology and Laparoscopy at Wake Forest University and then joined the NYU faculty in 2003.

Ellen Shapiro, M.D.

Professor of Urology
Director of Pediatric Urology

Dr. Shapiro attended the University of Nebraska School of Medicine and completed her urologic training at the Brady Urological Institute at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. She completed a Pediatric Urology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan and has served on the faculties of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Washington University School of Medicine and the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Shapiro joined the NYU faculty in 1994 and is a recognized leader in the treatment of neonatal and pediatric urologic diseases.

Michael Stifelman, M.D.

Dr. Stifelman attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his urology training at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in Laparoscopy and Endourology at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical. He joined the NYU faculty in 2000.

Dr. Taneja completed his medical education at Northwestern University and his urology training at UCLA. He joined the faculty at NYU in 1998 and oversees a multidisciplinary oncology team, focusing on development of novel approaches to therapy and prevention.
