Instructions for first-time patients

1. Bring a copy of any blood work or analysis you have done in the last year. This includes cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, fasting glucose, etc.
2. Bring a history of your PSA scores for the last two years (if you have it).
3. Fill out the appropriate intake form completely, including the one-week dietary log.

What should I expect during my first visit?

The first office visit will be 1 to 1 ½ hours long. It includes:

• A physical exam
• Measurement of body fat composition
• Measurement of hip-to-waist ratio
• Careful review of your completed intake form and dietary log
• Review of your medical history
• Review of current and past lab tests
• Identification of your health goals
• Review of any medications you are currently taking to avoid unwanted interactions with supplements
• Review and optimization of any supplements you are currently taking
• Review of dietary and nutritional status
• Thoroughly answering any questions you may have

Based on the findings, Dr. Espinosa will develop a customized health plan that will either be given or e-mailed to you. This will include:

• The right dietary plan for your body type and genetic type
• Protocol for optimized supplement use
• Individualized exercise program
• Stress reduction techniques
• Advice on reducing environmental toxicity

Follow-up visits

Follow-up visits are scheduled:

• Every 3 months for the first year (four times per year)
• Every 6 months during the second year (twice per year)
• Once a year thereafter

Follow-up visits include:

• An assessment of your health progress
• A physical exam
• Blood work, if necessary
• Modification of your health plan as needed

The average follow-up consultation is 30 minutes, although this can vary depending on your personal health needs and goals.

Fees

• First office visit: $495
• Follow-up office visit: $220
• Acupuncture sessions: $110 per session
